General Background

Anne has been a professional artist for over 30 years, with a background in graphic design, printmaking, and painting. She has designed and produced hundreds of limited edition serigraphs, lithographs, and posters. Her paintings have won numerous awards and are in collections around the world.

In the mid-1970s in Alexandria, Virginia she was one of the founding artists of the Torpedo Factory Art Center where she had a printmaking studio. In 1984 she moved to California’s Central Coast opening a studio gallery in Cambria where she created limited editions, monotypes, and handmade paper. Laddon continued to show in New York each year at the International Art Expo, as well as in several galleries. In 1990 she began to study oil painting and by the mid-1990s was hooked on plein air painting which she continues today.

Anne is active in several local arts organizations but her greatest commitment is to Studios on the Park, which she founded in 2007. A nonprofit open studios art center, Studios on the Park is dedicated to providing a creative, educational, and transformational experience to enhance understanding and appreciation of the visual arts. Its critical arts services provide arts access and education to more than 80,000 children and adults every year.
